今天点评的是“每日一词计划”的第5个单词。前面已经累计点评了40多个句子，里面至少评析了十几二十处语法或表达错误。如果读者会学习，在阅读的同时审视自己的问题，那么几个单词下来也会有明显的长进。
比较悲观的是，我在后台看到有一部分读者非常勤勉，虽然坚持每天造句，但是却在不断地重复自己的错误，而这些错误在前面几期文章里都有明显指出并改正过。所以我想说，
Keeping practice everyday doesn't necessarily help. Smart learning does.
应该没有人不认识“help”这个词，但会用这个意思表达的学生还真不多。来看看今天的10个句子点评：

点评：“out of reach”用得很好，但有点冗余；“principle”应该用复数。调整句序效果会更好。我还提供了一个简洁版本。
1) When we are determined to chase a dream of financial freedom, learning principlesof economics will help.
2) In our pursuit of financial freedom, learning principlesof economics helps.
2. Jane decided to do body building but three months later she did not lose an 原由网ounce. It probably did not help that she devours two cupcakes per day on average.
点评：这个句子非常具体，“devour”很形象，考虑到句子中主要是过去时，建议“devour”也用过去时。
3. To tackle proverty in some romote villages in China is not easy. Aids from the government may help but can never eradicate the deep-rooted problem.
点评：很棒的句子。注意“poverty”和“remote”这两个拼写错误；“aid”在句中应该用单数。修改如下：
To tackle poverty in some remote villages in China is not easy. Aids from the government may help but can never eradicate the deep-rooted problem.
4. No matter how well your English is, keeping practice every day helps.
点评：像我文章开头提到的一样，练习固然重要，但聪明的练习更重要。注意“well”是副词，句中应该是形容词。修改如下：
No matter how good/excellent/advanced your English is, keeping practice every day helps.
5. When you are exhausted, a good sleep will certainly help.
点评：意识很好，但“sleep”是不可数名词，可以这么改：
1) When you are exhausted, a good night'ssleepwill certainly help.
2) When you are exhausted, some good sleepwill certainly help.
6. To achieve a proficient writing skill, A Word A Day really helps.
点评：虽然能明白作者的意思，但这个句子有语法问题，也是中国学生经常犯的。句子开头是“to achieve”，后面应该出现“achieve”的主语。比如原由网：
To improve your writing skills, you had better practice everyday.
如果为了用“help”造句，可以这么写：
If you wish to improve your English writing, A Word A Day helps.
7. Although a kill switch has been found and the further spread of the malicious software stopped, Microsoft’s Windows operating system still remains vulnerable to attack: the “ransomware”, which just varied slightly from its early versions, may be updated soon and come back with a vengeance. To avoid beinHKfgBHg hit, all computer users should stay alert. Installing official patches counts; blocking phishing e-mails helps, too.
点评：目前为止最精彩的句子。一看就知道作者的用心和学习能力。句子不仅照顾到了最近的恶意勒索病毒侵袭热点，还用到了“每日一词计划”前5个单词中的四个：“remain”, “vary”, “count”, “help”. 去掉“the further spread”中的“the”就好，其他的没有问题。
8.For those struggling to sail through IELTS, full preperation helps.
点评：很好的句子。唯一的问题是“充分的准备”用“thorough/adequate preparation”更地道。前面提过《牛津英语搭配词典》，这里再推荐一遍。
9. Hope this helps.
点评：虽然只有三个词，但这个句子在日常工作中非常实用。不管是在给别人提建议，做解释还是分享，在最后都可以来这么一句。
10. Every bit helps.
点评：又一个好用的短句。不管是募捐，学习还是健身，用这个句子都很贴切。
