英文单词中，很多词组有多种看上去毫不相关的含义。比如我们今天要讲的Take in，除了我们常见的吸收、容纳的含义，居然还可以表示欺骗！来看今天的干货分享吧！
Take in 不只“吸收”，还有“欺骗”
Take 有很多用法和解释，衍生出的短语Take in 也有几种不同的意思。字面意义为接受(take)到内部(in)，表示接受为新成员或留宿在家中。另外，如果涉及到服装尺寸，则有改小的意思。还有一种含义，表示“欺骗”，来看下面的例句吧：
例句：
1）接受新成员
They didn't take Andy in as a new member of the club. 他们没有将安迪接受为新成员。
2）留宿
I can't t原由网ake you in tonight.
我今晚不能留你过夜。
3）改小衣物
Can you have these pants taken in? 你能改短这些裤子吗？
4）欺骗
Take in 表示欺骗，常用于被动语态中，表示“被欺骗”，同 be deceived。
Glenn: Do you know the reason why Paul quit?
格伦：你知道保罗辞职的原因吗？
Warner: He was taken in by a client and it cost a lot.
沃纳：他被一个客户欺骗，导致公司亏损一大笔钱。
以前常说的”忽悠”怎么表达呢？
谈到欺骗，容易联想到当年本山大叔那句“忽悠”，如何用英语表达出“忽悠”的含义呢？
“忽悠”相当于“愚弄”、“糊弄”或“捉弄”，具有诙谐、生动的意味。
英语最好不要译为to deceive或to cheat这样普通的动词，而译为 to jerk sb around，to hoodwink等俚语说法，更能表达出“忽悠”的俚语感，比如：
Don'www.58yuanyou.comt jerk me around！I won't be taken in.
别忽悠我！我不会上当。
The investor was hoodwinked into buying junk stocks.
这个股民被忽悠，买了垃圾股。
还有这些短语，表达欺骗

1. Cheat
使用最为频繁的一个词，表示“欺骗”。
例句：

2. Deceive
一般指用虚假外表使人信以为真，或蓄意歪曲事实使人上原由网当受骗。
例句：
Jack deceived his friends about his income.
杰克在自己的收入问题上欺骗了朋友。
3. Trick
指用阴谋诡计等骗得信任或得到所需之物。
例句：
Don't try to trick me! I know what’s going on!
别想骗我！我知道你在耍什么花招。
4. Fool
表示“欺骗，愚弄”
She has fooled a lot of people into believing he is a rich mGDaKLan.
她骗了许多人，让人相信他是个富翁。
5. Rip off
欺骗
例句：
This salesman ripped Alvin off!
这个商人欺骗了阿尔文!
6. Take sb for a ride
欺骗某人 例句：
It sounds like they took you for a ride in many ways.

哄骗
例句：
