一、“as(否定句中可用so) + adj／adv + as …”，用于不同人或物同一性质之间的比较，意为“和一样”。在as ... as结构中，第一个as是副词，第二个as是连词。
You are as tall asyour father. 你和你父亲一样高。
It’s not as hard asI thought.这没有我想象的那么困难。
I can’t run as fast asI used to.我不如以前跑得快了。
注：
（1）在非正式文体中，第二个as后可以用人称代词宾格形式来代替“主格 + 动词”，例：
She doesn’t sing as well as me. = She doesn’t sing as well as I do. 她唱歌没我唱得好。
（2）as ... as可表示同一个人或物不同性质的比较，意为“既又”，例：
Martin wasas impatient as he www.58yuanyou.comwas stubborn. 马丁既缺乏耐心又很顽固。
The confession was proved to be as absurd asit was false. 这份供词被证明是既虚假，又荒谬。
二、as ... as用于倍数表达，倍数置于第一个as之前，即，倍数+ as ... as+ 其他。
You’re not half asclever asyou think you are. 你的聪明连你自以为是的一半都没有。
It took three times aslong asI expected to finish the work. 完成这项工作花的时间是我预计的三倍。
Some of the doctors are paid almosttwice as much asthe nurse. 有些医生的薪水几乎是护士的两倍。
三、当as ... as中间有名词时，用以下结构：as + 形容词 + a + 单数名词 + as；as + many / much + 名词 + as。
I don’t want as / so expensive a cellphone asthis. 我不想要这么贵的手机。
She has as good a voiceasyou.她和你的嗓音一样好。
Take as muchtime asyou like. 你想花多少时间就花多少时间。
They don’t hold with letting children watch as muchTVasthey want. 他们不赞成让孩子随心所欲看太多电视。
We want to expose the kids to as much art and cultureaspossible. 我们想让孩子们尽量受到艺术和文化熏陶。
We want to involve as many people as possiblein the celebrations. 我们希望尽可能多的人参加庆典。
四、as much / deep / tall / late ...+ as + 数量（表度量衡、时间）,用以强调而非比较，意为“多达，重达，高达”等。
You can fly to Paris for as little as 20euros. 花区区20欧元你就可以飞到巴黎。
Some of these fish can weighas much as 80kg. 一些鱼重达80公斤。
There were as many as 200people at the lecture. 听讲的有200人之多。
Frosts often occur as late as May. 往往到5月份还有霜。
As late as the 1950s, tuberculosis was still a fatal illness. 直到20世纪50年代，结核病仍然是一种致命的疾病。
五、as … as不表示比较的几个常见句型。
1．asquickly / much / soon / ...cmBCTYy as possible尽可能
Tell himaslittle as possible. 尽量少告诉他。
The doctor will see you again next week. Meanwhile, you must rest asmuchas possible. 医生下周还会给你看病。在此期间，你一定要原由网尽可能多休息。
We would be grateful for your cooperation in clearing the hall asquicklyas possible. 你们若大力协助尽快把大厅腾空，我们将不胜感激。
2．as soon as 引导时间状语从句，意为“一就”。
We’ll send you a copy as soon asit becomes available. 一有货我们就给你寄一本去。
I felt free from the cares of the day as soon asI left the building. 我一离开那栋大楼便觉得轻松自在，不再为那天的事烦心了。
3. as long as引导条件状语从句，意为“只要”。
We’ll go as long asthe weather is good. 只要天气好我们就去。
注：区别“和一样久”。
We will fight for as long asit takes. 我们要一直斗争到底。
I haven’t known him as long asyou (have known him). 我认识他的时间没有你长。
4. as far as用于如下表达：as far as I know / as far as I can remember / I can see / I can tell 据我所知 / 据我所记得的 / 依我看，as far awww.58yuanyou.coms sb / sthis concerned就某人而言 / 就某事而论www.58yuanyou.com；至于某物。
As far as we knew, there was no cause for concern. 就我们所知，没有什么需要担心的。
As far as I can see, you have done nothing wrong. 依我看，你没有做错任何事。
She lived in Chicago, as far as I can remember. 据我所记得的，她过去住在芝加哥。
A far as I’m concerned, she can come home whenever she likes. 就我而言，她何时想回家就可以回家。
As far as money is concerned, there shouldn’t be a problem. 至于钱，应该没有问题。
注意：区别“远至；远达”。
We’ll go by train as far asLondon, and then take a bus. 我们坐火车到伦敦，然后转乘公共汽车。
The grassland stretched on all sides as far asthe eye could see. 草原向四面伸展开去，一望无际。
5.as well as引出并列成分，意为“除之外；也；还”。
You will always have the bad as well asthe good in the world. 人生在世总有苦有甜。
Coursework is taken into account as well asexam results. 除考试结果外，课程作业也要计入成绩。
She is a talented musician as well asbeing a photographer. 她不但是个摄影师而且还是个天才音乐家。
注意：区别“和一样好”。
She doesn’t play as well asher sister. 她演奏得不如她姐姐。
6.as good as用作固定短语，意为“几乎；简直是”。
The matter is as good assettled. 这事可以说解决了。
The summer is as good asover. 夏天差不多已经过去了。
He as good ascalled me a coward. 他就差说我是懦夫了。
注意：区别“和一样好”。
I have seen most of his movies. Only a few are as good ashis first one. 他的电影多数我都看过。只有少数几部能与他的第一部媲美。
