我们都会有不同意别人看法的时候，但每个人有每个人的处理方式。有些人认为没有必要把自己想的说出来，因为改变别人看法是很难的。但有些人认为应该大声说出不同的看法，甚至起争执。在他们的观念中，你说什么样的话，就是个什么样的人。表达自己的观点无比重要。
1 、argue看着就自己的看法或者观点，提出论证，和他人“争论”，是有根有据的，不是吵架。 在学术期刊上描述科学家之间的争论也会用上这个词。名词形式是argument
You can actively argue with your mind.
你可以积极地和你的思想争论。
Argue和with搭配在一起，表示和……争论。
Argue about 后接争论的事物。

2、quarrel.是指对某事不喜欢或强烈不满而发生的争吵或吵架。Quarrel with 和某人吵架。
This newly wedded couple are always quarLEMdPvdreling.
这对新婚夫妇总是吵架。
Quarrel endlessly 争吵不休。
Love quarrel 爱的争吵
3、discuss.是指认真交换自己的意见或看法的“讨论”。
She was happy to discuss anything with him.
她很高兴与他谈论任何事情。
discuss的名词形式是discussion，讨论某事，discuss about sth. 和某人讨论某事 discuss sth with sb.
4、在不管什么level的写作中，“引发了激烈的讨论”是出现率极高的。只有你想不到的热点，没有考试蹭不到的“激烈讨论”。今天也给大家一并介绍几个外刊中，比较常见的表达！

become the most talked-about topic
成为热议的话题
搭配中，most talked-about作为形容词来修饰topic，表示“热议的”，而topic可以用任何你想表达的主题替换（参考下面例句）；most表示“很，非常”，和extremely意思比较接近。
《经济学人》的一篇文章No Laughing Matter，讲的是今日头条的“内涵段子”被责令永久封停。其中，有这样一句话，
At the end of last year, Bytedance, one of China’s most talked-about technology firms, seemed to have t//www.58yuanyou.comhe world at its feet.
most talked-about technology firms 是“become the most talked-about topic”的变型，意为“公众热议的科技公司”；
have the world at one’s feet，意为（在特定领域）非常成功。这个搭配很形象——把全世界都踩在脚下。可比famous, successful棒多了。
《经济学人》在描述雄安新区的建立时，也用了become the most talked-about topic的变型：
Until the start of this month, no one had ever heard of Xiongan. Today, it is the most talked-about placein China.
除此以外，相似的表达还有sth has www.58yuanyou.comgone viral among sb.

几年来，....话题成为了新闻媒体的焦点 (forefront)
一看就是好长的句子。所以，茶酱建议各位，如果要使用这个句型的话，一定要用对！别这里漏一个单词，那边介词写错了。
这个句型，是出自于Taking Sides（专门培养辩证思维的英语阅读书目）中，针对同性婚姻的讨论中出现的一段话，
Many people believe that a person should have the same rights as anyone else, regardless of their race, age, gender --- or sexual orientation. When this 原由网discussion moves into the arena of same-sex marriage, however, those beliefs start to waver a bit. The past few years have seen the topic of same-sex marriage rush into the forefront of the news and other media.
