《全国硕士研究生入学同一考试英语考试大纲》中明确规定：“除掌握词汇的基本含义外，考生还应掌握词汇之间的词义关系，如同义词、近义词、反义词等”。由此可见，小伙伴们在背诵单词的时候，不仅要熟记单词更要学会辨析词义，尤其是意思相近易混淆的词汇。之前，我们已经了解了“愚蠢的、可笑的”和“获得、取得”这两组近义词的辨析，接下来我们来了解一些新的近义词辨析。
1. admit, confess, concede
这是一组动词，都有“承认”的意思，但是这几个“承认”之间存在着一些差异。
admit指的是由于被说服或者再三追问而不情愿的承认事实或错误。
e.g. Researchers admit that their study does not answer the question of how much businesses ought to spend on CSR. (2016年 Text 3)
研究者们承认，他们的研究并没有解答企业应该在企业社会责任上支出多少这一问题。
confess指的是供认原由网罪过或过错等，含有“坦白、招认”的意思。
e.g. What has happened is that people cannot confess fully to their dreams, as easily and openly as once they could, lest they be thought pushing,www.58yuanyou.com acquisitive and vulgar. (2000年 Text 5)
现在，人们不能像以前那样轻易公开地承认自己的梦想，以免别人认为自己爱出风头，贪婪和庸俗。
concede指曾想隐瞒或不愿意承认某一错误，但由于证据确凿而不得不勉强承认，还可以指以退为进的承认。
e.g. I conceded that I had made a number of errors.
我承认自己犯了一些错误。
2. affirm, assert, claim, announce, proclaim
这一组动词都有“声称”的意思。
affirm通常指的是坚信不疑地肯定或宣称，是deny的反义词。

assert指在无真凭实据的情况下宣称、断定。
e.g. The administration was in essence asserting that because it didn’t want to carry out Congress’s immigration wishes, no state should be allowed to do so either. (2013年 Text 4)
奥巴马政府实际上是在坚称，它不想执行国会的移民管理意愿，所以任何州也不应被允许执行。
claim多指根据某种规定提出的要求或主张。
e.g. Now the company is suddenly claiming that the 2002 agreement is invalid because of the 2006 legislation, and that only the federal government has regulatory power over nuclear issues. (2012年 Text 2)
现在，该公司由于2006年法规突然声明2002的条约无效，但只有联邦政府才有对核问题制定规章的权力。
announce多指首次当众正式宣布某一主张或态度，常常带有预告的意味。
e.g. They announced their engagement in ‘The Time’.
他们在《泰晤士报》上宣布了订婚的消息。
proclaim指经过深思熟虑后向大众宣布一个明确的决定或判断，尤其指重大事件的宣布，多用于官方场原由网合。
e.g. The president proclaimed an emergency 原由网when the war came.
当战争来临的时候总统宣布进入紧急状态。
