flunk这一词其实可以很完美地表达中文中的“挂”科这一概念。
E.g. M//www.58yuanyou.comy English teacher flunked me. 我英语老师让我挂科了！

flop: sth. is not successful（口语）
flop还可以做动词，有点表达//www.58yuanyou.com玩砸了的意味：
