其实要正经翻译的话应该是：

I told you so.（我早就跟你说过了）

虽然why you try并不对，

但try这个单词真的是深入人心啊，

试探，试探，try，try！

“try”仅仅是“试探”这么简单吗？

试图；尝试；努力

可以表示“尝试/付出努力做什么事情”，也可以表示“测试”“考验, 磨炼” 。

虽然它的意思谁都知道，但要用的时候往往想不起来，来看几个典型的例子。

1.“这蛋糕真好吃，你尝点。”

很多人可能会直接中译英：

This cake is so delicious, please eat a little.

但是地道的表达应该是:

The cake is so delicious. Please try some.

2.“我做过一两次，都失败了。”

中式表达: I did one or two times, but I failed.

地道表达: I tried a couple of times, but I failed.

3.“这件裙子看起来真漂亮，你穿上看看?”

中式表达:This skirt looks so beautiful. Would you please dress it?

地道表达:This skirt looks really pretty. Would you please try it？

4.“请您放心，我一定有多少力，出多少力。”

中式表达: Please put down your heart. mCBDaI'll give all my strength out.

地道表达: Don't worry, I'll try my best.

5.“这对你的勇气将是一个考验。”

中式表达:It will be a test for your courage.

地道表达:This will try your courage.

以上这些例句有什么共同点？

那就是，在中文里并没有明确说出“尝试”“测验”，

但都包含了这层意思：

你尝一点→你试试（味道）呗

我做过→我试过，我努力过

你穿上看看→你穿上试试（效果）

所以，凡是带有“尝试”、“做事没底但还是做了”“测试”等含义的，都可以抛出try这个词，简单又实用~

小猪佩奇在帮弟弟找东西，

找了很多地方都没有找到，

这个时候佩奇妈妈说：

Maybe we should try the garden.

也许我们应该去花园找找。

一般我们会说“We should go to the garden to look for it.”

其实直接用“try the garden”，就可以表达清楚了，是不是so easy！

再看一个例句，如果某人失眠很严重，

他说：“我想我该找个催眠师看看。”

就可以直接用：

“I think I'll try a hypnotist.”

try to do是指“努力去做”“尽力干……”，想尽一切办法把事情办成；
