用挤得像果酱（jam）一样来形容交通拥堵，简直不要太形象！
traffic jam 交通阻塞；塞车
例：
We are getting into a traffic jam.
我们正原由网堵着呢！
He was stuck in a traffic jamfor two hours.
他在路上堵了两www.58yuanyou.com个小时。

heaPoGUmovy traffic
heavy除了表示"重的"，还有好几种意思，比如“拥挤的”，用来表示交通拥堵。
heavy adj. （交通等）拥挤的
heavy traffic n. 车水马龙；拥挤的交通
例：
The traffic was really heavylast night.
昨晚堵车堵得厉害。
There was heavy trafficon the roads.
路上车水马龙。

因为交通堵塞，他们迟到了。
*bumper是指汽车前后的保险杠。如果路上的车多到车上的保险杠几乎都要碰到一起了，该是多堵啊！

rush hour
rush hour 交通拥堵时间；上下班高峰时间
例：
It’s the rush hournow.
现在是交通高峰期。
I left early to avoid the morning rush hour.
为避开早高峰，我早早就出门了。
