"moon" 不止是 “月亮”！
大部分时候我们都把"moon"翻译成“月亮”，这是作为名词它的一个意思。但作为动词，它还有“虚度光阴”和“露出光屁股”的意思
“露出光屁股”是在公众场合进行的恶作剧，歪果仁觉得其具有侮辱和挑衅的意味。
"She was mooning in school, all day."
她整天都在学校里瞎混。
“月圆”不是 "round moon"!
想要表达中秋的十五的月亮“圆”，可千万不能说它 "round" 哦！因为 "round" 是表示“圆形的”，强调形状，无论人在哪月亮都是圆的。
我们之所以会觉得“月圆”，是因为月亮在特定时间展现了完整的亮面，所以人们看到的是“满月”，它正确的英文表达应该是 "full moon"。
"Today people will enjoy the full moon and eat mooncakes at Mid-autumn Festival."
如今人们在中秋节那天都会赏月和吃月饼。
“月饼”不止是 "mooncake"!
随着时代的发展，“月饼”已经不局限于几个口味。近年来更是流行“冰皮月饼”，传统与经典的结合让它颇受欢迎~
传统的“蛋黄/莲蓉/五仁月饼”的英文表达分别是 "egg yolk / lotus seed paste / Five Kernels mooncake"；“冰皮月饼”的英文表达则是 "snow skin mooncake"。
*“冰皮”有很多译法，有的会翻译成"ice skin"，有的会说"snow skin"。但老师是更加喜欢"snowskin"，毕竟所谓冰皮也并不是真正的 “冰”呀
"Snow skin mooncakes are popular in China."
冰皮月饼在中国很受欢迎。
"over the moon" 不是“月亮之上”!
我知道你脑内开始播放“我在仰望，月亮之上”了，但请停下，"over the moon" 是形容某人“欣喜若狂”。通俗点讲就是“快乐的要升天”了~
"The whole team were over the moon at winning the game."
全队都为赢得这场比赛欣喜若狂。
"blue moon" 不是“蓝月亮”!
"blue moon" 指的是“很罕见的事情”，我们常说的“千载难逢”就是 "once in a blue moon"。
*蓝色月亮是很罕见的一个天文现象，在地球大气层中某些物质达到一定浓度时，会导致月亮呈现出蓝色。（有时也可能是橙色或血红）
