生活总是充满着变数和不确定性，不可能事事都能让人满意。
对于国人来说，当遭遇了挫折或失意之时，身边的亲友总是会送上安慰：
“ 会好起来的，忘了吧！”
而说到 “忘了吧”的英语表达，很多小伙伴率先想到的，就是 “forget it”了。
然而，真的是这样吗？“forget it”真的是“忘了吧”的意思吗？
有时候，用了那么久的英语，很可能是假的哦~
前几天，一同事和外教Emma一起出门吃饭，路过一低洼水坑时，刚好有辆车通过，扬起的水花溅到同事身上，同时非常生气；
旁边的外教连忙说到： “forget it.”
同事依然生气，“这怎么能忘记呢？真想把车拦下来...”
很明显，他俩明显是会错意了。
实际上，“forget it”并不是“忘了吧”的意思，而是：
“没关系，不要在意、算了”。
先来看下它在剑桥词典中的释义：
used to tell someone that something is not important and not to worry about it.
通常用于告诉某些人某事是不重要或无需担心的。
"I'm so sorry about that cup原由网."
"Oh, forget it - I've got plenty."
对不起弄坏了你的杯子。
哦~没关系，我还有很多。
‘Sorry I didn’t phone.’
‘Forget it.’
“对不起，我没有打电话来。”
“没关系。”
Forget it! It is no use talking about that.
算了，再讨论那个没什么用。
‘What did you say?’ ‘Nothing, just forget it.’
“你说什么？”“没什么，算了。”
此外，“forget//www.58yuanyou.com it”还可以表示： “别说了”（表示厌烦）

那么，既然“forget it”并不是“忘了吧”的意思，那“忘了吧”该如何表达呢？
这就要说到与之相似的表达： “forget about it”。
它才是“ 忘记吧，不要再想了”的意思。

2.let it go
这个表达，因《冰雪奇缘》主题曲，而让人熟知，翻译为中文就是 “随它吧、忘了吧”。
What's done is done! Just let it go.
木已成舟，过去的就让它过去吧！别再想了。
3.leave behind
基本意思是“把..置于之后”，也就是 “遗留、遗忘”之意。
We must leave these things behind and turn over a new leaf in our lives.
要把这些事情翻篇儿过去，开始新的生活。
4.go with the flow
"flow"基本意思是“流动”，在此指 “顺其自然、放平心态/不去管它”。
Go with the flow. It's unhealthy to get upset.
