暑期赴美带薪实习计划的特点在于为全世界大学生提供了一个踏上美国国土、体验美国生活文化、提高英语能力、进入美国企业、与美国同事以及来自其它国家的实习生并肩工作的机会。此外， J-签证让美国实习生在完善的美国劳动制度保障霞进行实习， 与美国同事同工同酬。这不仅体现了美国独立自主人权特征，同时减轻了赴美实习生的经济压力。
暑期赴美带薪实习计划是一个非常成熟的美国政府文化交流项目！
每年全国有数千名大学生通过这个项目踏上美国的国土所有参加项目的同学都是持J-1签证（交流访问学者签证）赴美参加实习。相当于获得了美国政府的邀请，作为中美文化交流使者进入美国企业学习，深入了解美国企业文化的同时，让美国人民从同学们身上了解中国。作为美国政府的国际项目， 大家有机会和不同国家的大学生并肩工作， 了解不同的文化背景，让大家更好的学会交流和沟通。
同学们赴美实习的地点主要分布在美国的重点旅游景区。
接待实习生的企业均为通过美国政府资格审核，长期正常经营，地点安全，为美国员工合法上有保险的，友好、可靠的纳税企业。

South Fork, Colorado is located in the heart of the Rocky Mountains and surrounded by some of the most beautiful mountain scenery known to man. The Old Firehouse is a busy restaurant that is open seven days/week from the end of May through the first of September. We serve lunch and dinner during the week and breakfast, lunch and dinner during the weekends. Our business relies on the tourists in the busy summer months so we are incredibly busy during those times. We serve all American type foods including Hamburgers, Chicken Fried Steaks, BBQ, Salads and Pizzas.
Each summer we hire up to eight cultural exchange students from all over the world, who work closely with our American staff and customers on a daily basis. We provide students with the opportunities to experience American culture by working together and communicating closely with our American staff and customers.
The house is located on the work site so transportation to and from work is not an issue. Bicycles are provided for students to easily make their way around our small yet beautiful community, banking, grocery, library and shopping all close by.
