double bed room 不是双床房
- single bed 单人床
- double bed 双人床
- twin bed 成对单人床；两张双人床
如果搞不懂 double bed 和 twin bed 的意思，很容易订错酒店。其实，这两个单词很好区分。
twin 是双胞胎，双胞胎有2个，所以 twin bed 肯定是2张单人床，twin room 也就是双床房。
double 表示双倍的，double bed 也就是说这张床的体积是普通单人床的双倍，自然就是双人床了。
double room 是双人房，里面一般有一张双人床，也就是国内说的大床房。

clean 是清洁，sweep 表示打原由网扫，很多人看到 make a clean sweep 都会理解为做大扫除，这么翻译是不对的。
make a clean sweep 的真正意思像狂风扫落叶一样斩获所有能得到的奖项，也就是大获全胜。
They made a clean sweep of medals at the national championships.
他们在全国锦标赛里大获全胜。
我们逢年过节要进行的大扫除可以这么说：
