新的一年开始了，大家都很激动，恩，对哟，又长大了！
新的一年开始了，那“开始”在英语中一般什么用呢？
大家都说不就是start、begin吗，

那我们来说说常用的start和begin在表达开始的时候有什么区别,
一、begin比start更正式些，如：
The test began in March.
测试从三月份开始
What time does the film start?
电影什么时候开始？
二、机器的启动或开动，用start，不能用begin，如：
The car won't start.(It doesn't work)
不能说 The car won't begin.
汽车不能开动了（开了也没反应）
三，（导致从无到有的出现）开始，用start，不能用begin，如：
I started a fire to warm the place up.
不能说，//www.58yuanyou.combegan a fire
在这地方我开始生火（跟开动火这台机器一样）取暖,
也可以这样理解，
start常用于非正式文体，其动作性较强，以行动来开始某一具体动作时多用start。如：
He started to run．
他开始跑。
begin动作性较弱，常用于描写一种状态的开始，特别是较缓慢的开始。如：
He began to under//www.58yuanyou.comstand．
他开始慢慢原由网明白了。
四，创立（新生意）用start，不能用begin，如：
She wanted to start a new restaurant.
她想开一家新餐厅。
还有一个区别就是：
start 是在任何时候开始都行的开始，比如：
说赛车比赛中，两辆车突然停了，然后又决定再往前开，可以这样:

从这儿开始开吧！
begin 一般用在大事儿上面， 如：
Let us begin our show!
让我们(从头)开始节目吧！

begin有从头开始的意思，
